Saturday August 21, The Djembe – Drumming For Health and Fun, Discussion and Participation with Mark Wood
The first segment of the event will be a discussion of West African tradition, where the Djembe originates from, and how it relates to our culture, interlaced with participatory demonstration. The second segment will consist of how our culture can use the drum for health, wellness and spiritual practice, also with participatory demonstration.

Mark Wood’s mission is to "spread the word" about the Djembe, especially at medical and educational institutions, where benefits can be tremendous. "I’d like to see more people experience the benefits of African drumming." Mark teaches to communicate with unique drum language. "In order to make the groove happen, people need to work together as a team. I try to create an environment in which deep relaxation, joy and healing can take place." People who drum with Mark report that they relax, have fun and "live in the moment." Mark has provided health/wellness drumming to individuals and to associations: formerly Hunterdon County ARC, and the Wellness Community of Central New Jersey; currently, the Deaf at Greystone Mental Facility, Morristown Memorial Hospital, New Jersey Foundation for the Blind and special needs children schools.

Saturday February 7, MEDITATION AND THE MULTI-LEVELED MIND - MANAGING YOUR FOUR BRAINS with Robert Corin Morris.
Meditation methods, ancient and modern, are amazing ways to tap into and harmonize all four human brains: the rational left brain, the intuitive right brain, the feeling mid-brain and the kinesthetic lower brain. Robert Corin Morris, M.Div, D.D. is the founder and executive director of Interweave Center for Wholistic Living in Summit, New Jersey. He is a meditation teacher, retreat and conference leader, certified spiritual director, faculty member for the Academy for Spiritual Formation and frequent contributor to Weavings: An Ecumenical Journal of the Spiritual Life. An Episcopal priest with long experience in interreligious dialogue, Bob is the author of three books: Wrestling with Grace: A Spirituality for the Rough Edges of Daily Life (Upper Room, 2003), Suffering and the Courage of God (Paraclete, 2005), and the forthcoming Provocative Grace: The Challenge in Jesus' Words (Upper Room, 2006). A graduate of Yale University, the General Theological Seminary, and the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation, he lives in South Orange with his wife of 39 years, Suzanne.

Saturday February 21, CONTACTING LOVED ONES ON THE OTHER SIDE with Lindsey Sass Aurand.
Lindsey was struck by lightning and had a near death experience that altered her life. Since then she has developed a special ability to connect her clients to the light and love from their deceased loved ones. She experienced a feeling of pressure on her right shoulder while doing massages and heard messages; finally, after much time was spent ignoring the sensation, she gave in to deliver messages to her clients. Her mission is to teach her clients how to feel, see and hear their own loved one so they too experience the connection, knowing their loved one is OK. Lindsay has created a specific technique to help her clients heal from the loss of their relative or friend. A feeling of calm, peace and love ensues, filled with messages of hope.

Lindsay Sass Aurand has her BS in Psychology. She is owner of The Healing Center in Bloomingdale, NJ. She is Nationally Certified in Hypnotherapy and a NYS Licensed Massage Therapist for 20 years. She is a medium, clairvoyant healer, spiritual teacher, Ordained Interfaith Minister. Lindsay also teaches Clairvoyant and Intuitive Development, Maya Abdominal Massage, trains Infant Massage Instructors, and gives Childbirth Training for Hypnotists. She is Certified in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder as a group leader and has studied Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction with Jon Kabat-Zinn.

Saturday March 7, THE WISDOM OF YOUR FACE - CHINESE FACE READING with Jean Haner.
Most people have never heard of face reading, or if they have, they think it must be a party trick, or something to do with cosmetic surgery, or a way to categorize or manipulate people. Actually, face reading is based on the same ancient foundation as acupuncture and Chinese medicine. There are still doctors in China today who can diagnose health issues simply by evaluating someone's face. This lecture will include live demonstrations with audience participants.

Saturday March 21, VERNAL EQUINOX CEREMONY AND CELEBRATION with Harriet Wagniere
The Vernal Equinox, also known as Ostara after the ancient goddess Eoster, is a time of renewal, both in Nature and in the Home. As the newly reborn sun races across the sky, the days become longer, the air warmer and, once again, life begins to return to the land. Day and night become equal in length. This Equinox honors the planting of new seeds, the fertility of the land and its people, and the hope of the new life arising in the world. Eggs, for new beginnings, and rabbits, for fertility, are common symbols of the season. “Spring cleaning" is more than just a physical activity; it removes any negative energy accumulated over the dark Winter months and prepares the home for the positive growing energy of Spring and Summer.

Anger is a prevalent human emotion, and whether it expresses as a minor irritation or major outburst, it can backfire. Every spiritual person especially needs to address and control this basic emotion. Daily, many good people mishandle their anger allowing it to manifest as abuse, aggression and medical maladies. Tonight's lecture will teach you to see the difference between "root" causes and "triggers," to gain insight through "thirteen clarifying questions," and to keep others from "pressing your buttons." Janet will also examine different personality types and their behaviors helping you to set boundaries and avoid victimization and resentment. In three simple, proven steps, you will learn to use the R/D/C Method to diffuse situations.

This workshop is given due to the overwhelming response to Mei Jin’s November 15, 2008 lecture. Knowledge of Astrology is unnecessary. Discover your 4 pillars (all of your elements, element combinations) and your birth Bagua (astrological map); learn to understand the relationship between karma and astrology. She is the executive director of the I-Ching Society of China in Beijing, and the founder of the School of Eastern Culture and Philosophy in New Jersey. Summer Solstice, sometimes known as Midsummer, is a celebration of the longest day of the year and the beginning of Summer. It is not only a time distinctive on an astrological level, it is one of the three Spirit Nights of the Celtic year. It has been an important gathering time since ancient days, a true festival of community sharing and planetary service. Faeries are abroad, easily visible to those whose sensitivities enable them to pierce the veil between the worlds. This is also the time for healers to cull magical and healing herbs: vervain, yarrow, stonecrop, mugwort and above all, St. John’s wort.

As a ceremonialist, Glory practices Wicca. Wicca (an offshoot of the Celtic Tradition) is a spiritual practice, a way of life. Scientists estimate that laughing 100 times is equivalent to a 10-minute workout on a rowing machine, or to 15 minutes on a stationary exercise bike. The mere act of laughing exercises the diaphragm, as well as the abdominal, respiratory, facial, leg, and back muscles. Another benefit of laughter is that it improves our over-all mental health. The word solstice comes from a Latin word meaning “sun standing still.” Since ancient times, humans recognized the winter solstice and hailed it as the day that marks the return of the sun. It is no coincidence that in the Christian church the birth of the Son coincides with the rebirth of the Sun. Teoyotica, a former theologian who left the church because of its rigid doctrines, will discuss how these encounters with Bulba-Ze came about. He will present the history of the Mexica (Aztec) people as experienced by Bulba-Ze. He will discuss the teachings of the Ancient Ones on the sacred feminine, alchemy, magic and psychological transformation. This will prove to be an extraordinary experience — one not to be missed.

Teoyotica felt a calling early in his life, which led him to the Priesthood. Later he deeply believed that God expressed his love in all religions. He counseled addicts and the homeless for thirty years. In the early 1990s he began a "rediscovery" of Native American Shamanism and Ritual that led him to channeling a spirit guide, Bulba-Ze.
