	Thursday, June 19, 2008 Summer Solstice Celebration with Harriet Wagniere Summer Solstice, sometimes known as Midsummer, is a celebration of the longest day of the year and the beginning of Summer. It is not only a time distinctive on an astrological level, it is one of the three Spirit Nights of the Celtic year. It has been an important gathering time since ancient days, a true festival of community sharing and planetary service. Faeries are abroad, easily visible to those whose sensitivities enable them to pierce the veil between the worlds. This is also the time for healers to cull magical and healing herbs: vervain, yarrow, stonecrop, mugwort and above all, St. John’s wort. Harriet Wagniere B.S., M.A., is Director of the Metaphysical Center of New Jersey. She has been a member of the Center and Board of Directors for over 30 years beginning as a student of founder, Donald Yott. Harriet has taught both MCNJ’s 13 level course of study in Metaphysics and Parapsychology and the 5 level Tibetan Studies course several times and has also lectured throughout the tri-state area. Harriet has a private practice as a hypnosis consultant and spiritual counselor.
